FAQS

What types of tests and analyses does Eurecat Labs offer?

We have more than 20 specialized laboratories that provide services in material characterization (polymeric, metallic, ceramic and textile), mechanical testing, chemical and environmental analysis, microplastics, omics services (metabolomics, lipidomics, sequencing and proteomics), IP testing and climate validations, compatibility, migration and corrosion studies, as well as prototyping and textile technologies.

What is the price of my test?

Each test is unique and requires a personalized assessment. The cost depends on the type of test, the applicable standards, the quantity and complexity of the sample, specific requirements, and the equipment needed. We always prepare a tailored quotation based on your request.

How much sample material should I send?

It depends on each test. Once we receive your request, we will indicate the required quantity, the recommended format, and any conservation or shipping requirements. We can also work with non‑standard samples; if preparation or machining is needed, we will include it in the quotation.

Do you work with UNE, ISO, ASTM, DIN, IEC… standards?

Yes, we perform tests following the main international standards. If no applicable standard exists, we can adapt an existing method or develop a specific protocol for your case.

Can you carry out very specific or uncommon tests?

Yes. Many of the requests we receive are unique or highly specialized tests. We evaluate the technical feasibility of each case and propose the most suitable approach.

What conditions (time, materials, dimensions, temperature…) are required to perform a test?

Each case is different. To define the test, we will ask for a description of the material, the available size or quantity, the use conditions that must be reproduced, and the objective of the test. With this information, we will confirm the exact requirements and the estimated timeline in the quotation.

What is the turnaround time for results?

Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the test, sample preparation, and laboratory workload. We will indicate the estimated delivery time when we send you the quotation.

How can I know if the laboratory can perform what I need?

You only need to explain what you want to analyze or validate, the objective, and whether there is any reference standard. With this information, we will assess feasibility and propose the best option.

Do you carry out customized tests or developments?

Yes. We can adapt protocols, develop new tests, support R&D&I projects, or conduct tailored studies for specific needs.

What does the test report include?

The report usually includes a description of the sample (if applicable), the method or standard used, the results and associated interpretations, as well as any relevant observations. In some cases, we can provide more advanced interpretation or additional consulting.

Do you have ENAC / ISO 17025 accreditations?

Some laboratories and tests are accredited and others are not. When you request a service, we will inform you whether it can be performed under accreditation or what alternatives exist.

Where should I send the samples?

Once we review your request, we will provide the exact address of the corresponding laboratory. All our laboratories are located in Catalonia (Barcelona, Cerdanyola del Vallès, Manresa, Lleida, Tarragona, Mataró, Canet de Mar, Reus and Girona).

Can I visit the laboratory or meet with a technician?

Yes, we can schedule visits or technical meetings depending on availability.

Who do you work for?

We work with industrial and technology companies, startups and SMEs, universities and research centers, hospitals and clinical institutions, public administrations, and individuals with specific analysis needs.
