Soil characterization

We perform physicochemical and biological characterization of soil and sediment samples using the following parameters:

• Physical: bulk density, soil texture and structure (granulometry), total and effective porosity, and water reserve (field capacity).
• Chemical: pH, conductivity, organic, inorganic, and total carbon, total Kjeldahl nitrogen and total nitrogen, elemental analysis of CNHS, organic, inorganic, and total phosphorus, potassium, humic and fulvic acids, pH, electrical conductivity, and cation exchange capacity.
• Biological: microbial respiration, enzymatic activity, and sequencing of the bacterial and fungal community.
  Soil contamination: analysis of trace metals, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, PAHs, PFAS, and microplastics.

In addition, we can also evaluate greenhouse gas emissions from soil plots (NO, CO, and CH) using a static chamber.
