This Eurecat Textile Materials Analysis and Characterisation Laboratory test consists of determining the tendency for fibre balls to form on fabrics when they are rubbed during use. The abrasion is performed by rubbing the fabric against itself with the Martindale apparatus and using the modified Martindale method.
