Injection laboratory basic testing

The Eurecat Injection Laboratory’s basic test is specially designed for customers who need a quick and efficient test to check the general operation of the mould and get a short run of parts to validate the appearance and dimensional quality of the moulded part.

The basic test validates functions and components including:

• Mould assembly and structural design from the durability and lifetime standpoint.
• Check list of mould kinematics, moving parts and connections, etc.
• Mould cavity textures and engravings.
• Safety functions, additional elements, etc.
• General operation of the mould and its sub-systems, water and oil circuits, mould quenching system, injection system, customer chambers, filling balance, material inlet design, gas outlet, polishing, parting lines, burrs, etc.
• Visual quality of the moulded part in terms of mould and part design.
• First estimate of cycle time, process stability and overall process efficiency.

The laboratory can also validate some aspects of the design (mould-part) if the customer provides the relevant technical information, such as the correlation with the engineering constraints, previous rheological studies, preliminary mould design, etc.
