Injection laboratory complete testing

The Eurecat Injection Laboratory’s complete test is specially designed for customers who need a complete service, which includes validating the mould, the part, starting up the mould in their facilities, and subsequent end-to-end validation of the mould-process.

The service enables the customer to validate their part, optimising the process and tailoring it to the injection moulding machines with a view to ensuring utmost efficiency.

This service brings the customer the comprehensive knowledge of Eurecat’s Testing Laboratory and Technological Services department.

The complete test is tailor-made for each customer-mould-part and sector, its duration varying according to service needs. This service can be delivered entirely at the customer’s premises or between Eurecat’s laboratory and the customer’s facilities for the final validation stage.

The service consists of:

• Prior preparation (including a visit to the customer’s facilities).
• Basic Service (at Eurecat or customer facilities).
• Validation of the mould-part according to the test protocol (at Eurecat or customer facilities) including:
  • Process optimisation (process window based on: surface finish, cycle time, weight control, dimensional variability, etc.).
  • Operation at full load (minimum 24 hours).
  • Thermographic verification.
  • Dimensional control of the part (dimensions, deformations, compaction, etc.).
  • Weight of the part, outer appearance (bonding lines, splay, gas entrapment, etc.).
  • Mould analysis identifying possible mould defects (corrosion, surface aspects of the mould).
  • CAD 3D comparison with the physical part.
  • Process control using statistical techniques and production stability.
• Drawing up a test validation report.
• Start-up at the customer’s facilities (optional).
• Final report.
